Well I took my first wack at bending. I had the last few feet of a 20ft'er left so I decided to bend it up and hope it's long enough for the piece I need. Turns out it's about 3/4in too short :? No biggie though cause I also found I needed a couple more degrees bend in it. Here's the piece that was too short - And here's the new one I made. I still have to notch it on the bottom but I ran out of time -

And tonight's progress... Right tube is done. Left one just needs to be notched. Took me about an hour to fit the right one in. Hopefully the left goes a little faster.

Cut out most of the original cab cage because I didn't like how little head room I had. Now the "B" pillar or "main hoop" will be on the outside of the cab. Here the start to that: Top seat belt bar - This is where the door bars come through the cab and tie into the rear cage - This is the frame tie-in's for the dash/windshield bars. I also have one of the A-pillar frame tie-in's started. One of these days I'll remember to bring my real camera down to the shop and use that to start taking pics.

Well I was getting frustrated trying to get a tube to fit correctly so I decided to take a break from it and start building something more fun. A light rack. I got the left support tacked together. The mounts will be welded to the interior cage and the rack itself will be pinned on to the mounts so it's removable. The lower horizontal bar of the rack will be 1.5 DOM and the rest will be 1in DOM. There will also be support 1in tubes going to the rear cage over the rear window. And this light bar is where I'm definately gonna need your help, David. I'm gonna need to do some bending with the 1in DOM. Here's the one support I got in tonight - I plan on using the lights that are up on the shelf in the background of the pics... If I can talk Steve into selling them... And here's the general idea of what I'm going for - But I kinda want it to look more like this -

Ok cool! Thanks. I gotta talk to Steve down at the shop and see if he's gonna be around the Sat after thanksgiving. If he is that could probably work.
