Bought a "new" fuel cell. Got the basic mounting frame done. Still gotta clean everything up, add a few gussets, add a skidplate, and make hold-down straps.

Got the upper part of the straps done. These took a little time. Turned out pretty nice though.

Got the lower half of the spare tire mount basically done. The top half will be a piece of 1.5 DOM with a welded on plate that bolts to the wheel. That will slide into the lower half. That way it's adjustable if I get different size tires or different off-set wheels.

Tore the rear spring down tonight and cycled the supension to figure out the proper shock mounting location. Found the rear cycles 10in and I have a 14in shock so mounting at a 1:1 ratio will work no problem. Don't you know all the cool kids are running stacked wood blocks now days... Lower arch is where the upper shock mount is shock fully compressed and truck at full bump. Upper arch is shock fully extended and at full droop. The upper shock mount will be built in the middle of where the arches are closest which turned out to basically be straight up and down when at ride height. I figured that would happend but wanted to check just for the hell of it. How the truck sits at just above full bump.

Almost done boxing in the mount. Thinking I might grind the welds for nice smooth corners. Still undecided.

Started bracing the shock mounts. Gonna add 1 more gusset and I'm calling them done.
